Workshop at Aalborg University within the DRIVE project

Within the DRIVE project, which is financed by Erasmus+ and our university is a participant, a two-day workshop is being held on November 11 and 12 at Aalborg University in Denmark.

Vice Chancellor for Foreign Relations Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kimete Canaj, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Academic Development and Quality Improvement, Prof. Asst. Dr. Laura Naka, Prof. Asst. Dr. Melinda Mula, career development officer Ms. Freskina Mula and the head of the office for international cooperation Mr. During these two days, Denis Spahija will benefit from the experiences of the host university regarding the development of research support centers that will be developed within the framework of this project.

The overall goal of this project is to contribute to the development of research and innovation capabilities of HEIs in Albania and Kosovo by increasing their institutional capabilities, personnel capabilities and networking.

Specifically, the project aims to:

  • Improve the skills of teachers and their methodologies so that they can effectively equip students (bachelor level and above) with the skills to conduct independent research;
  • Increasing the skills of mentors to effectively guide students in their research activity;
  • Improving the research skills of academic and managerial staff through study visits and tailored training;
  • Strengthening managerial capacities for research and innovation activities at the institutional level, by establishing or strengthening dedicated research and innovation structures;
  • Promote research excellence and innovation by developing a network that facilitates interdisciplinary research and collaboration between local and international actors.
