Students of the English Language Department, program English Language - Translation and Interpretation at the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova are gaining a extensive experience in the world of translation and interpretation as a result of their professional practice work. In a meeting with the course professor Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazli Tyfekçi, they discussed their progress in the Work Placement course, supervised by the Translation Office staff at UFAGJ. This academic year has brought a valuable opportunity for students to engage with specialized institutions in translation and interpretation, which have collaboration with UFAGJ. Among these, some students will undertake their practice in the premises of the Rectorate.

For the selected students, the Translation Expert, Msc. Laureta Rexha, will oversee their practice process in this field, preparing them for a period of 13 weeks. During this time, they will develop and strengthen their skills in interpreting and translating various documents.

The primary goal of the Professional Practice course is to advance students' capacities in translating texts from one language to another, focusing on the fundamental understanding of language structures and accurate message transmission. Through this course, they gain profound knowledge in the current techniques and requirements of the translation field, preparing them for the job market and the challenges faced by translators.

This significant practice experience marks a pivotal step for students on their journey towards in-depth knowledge and a successful path in the field of translation and interpretation.
