Virtual meetings with international experts for re-accreditation of programs take place
As part of the program re-accreditation process, on Thursday, virtual meetings were held with international experts for the programs of the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Philology at the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova (UFAGJ).
At the Faculty of Education, the Reaccreditation process will be subject to Primary (BA) and Preschool (BA) programs. At the Faculty of Medicine, the re-accreditation process will be subject to the Nursing program and the new Physiotherapy program at the bachelor level, for which it has been applied in the accreditation process. Whereas, in the Faculty of Philology, the accreditation process will be subject to the program English Language - Translation and Interpretation.
On the second day of this process, in virtual meetings with the group of international experts for the Faculty of Medicine, composed of Prof. Dr. Danica Zeleznik from the University College of Health Sciences, Gradec, Slovenia, Mrs. Delia Gologan from the University of Bucharest, for the Faculty of Education, composed of Prof. Dr. Janez Kerk and Prof. Dr. Janez Vogrinc from the University of Ljubljana, and for the Faculty of Philology, for the program English Language - Translation and Interpretation, composed of Prof. Dr. Andrew Goodspeed from the South East European University of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, held virtual meetings for this process with groups organized by the faculties.
The first meeting with the international experts was held by the faculty managements, and then meetings were held with the quality managers, academic staff, students, graduates, employers of the graduates and external stakeholders.
Quality Assurance Officer, Mr. Daut Islami, said that the meetings with experts went very well, and praised the organization made for this process by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA). Mr. Islami emphasized that there has been an extraordinary mobilization in UFAGJ regarding the process of re-accreditation of programs for which he thanked all those who have been engaged.
Previously, international experts, who due to the pandemic hold their meetings virtually, were sent a video of the campus, halls, cabinets, etc., where the teaching process takes place.
The accreditation process includes internal and external quality assurance, which continues to be the main tool for setting quality standards in the higher education system in Kosovo.
