SMAPHC project sustainability workshop held

SMAPHC project sustainability workshop held

During the dates of October 27-28, 2022, at the "Celala Bayar" University in Manisa, Turkey, a workshop is being held with the aim of continuing the activities and implementing the knowledge gained from this project over the past 4 years, since during the life of the project (2018 -2022), the partners have had the opportunity to develop their capacities in the respective areas of competence, acting as a guarantee that the relevant co-financing of the ERASMUS+ program will have a multidimensional and sustainable impact in Kosovo.

At the core of the sustainability plan are the positions shared by all partners to continue cooperation at all levels covered by this project and beyond. In fact, the partners perceived that doing so is a natural outcome, given their agreed assessment that the needs of the Kosovar society regarding quality and accessible allied health care services, in particular, which served as the main motive for initiating this project, continue to prevail. and require even greater investments from other stakeholders, in parallel.

During these days, the project partners have contributed to defining the conditions of cooperation, considered necessary to ensure the functionality of the SMAHPC centers even in the post-grant period.

Representatives of UFAGJ in this workshop are Prof. Assoc. Dr. Faton Hoxha, head of the diabetic foot center established during the implementation of the SMAHPC project, as well as Mr. Denis Spahija, head of the International Cooperation and Projects office, at the same time institutional coordinator of this project.

The SMAHPC (Student-run Multidisciplinary Allied Health Practice Center) project is developed within the Erasmus+ program and aims to develop protocols based on international standards (ISO), ethical codes taking into account state and international legislation, as well as the functionalization of the multidisciplinary center including aspects related to infrastructure, clinical and innovation space with equipment, personnel (selection) and customers.

In addition to the University "Fehmi Agani", in Gjakova, participants in this project are Heimerer College, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from Finland, JAMK University of Applied Sciences also from Finland, Manisa Celal Bayar University, University of Gjilan "Kadri Zeka", NGO "Autism", Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosovo, Institute of Southeast Europe related to Health and Social Policies
