Rector of the University of Gjakova Artan Nimani participated in the International Conference "Empowering Care, Development and Education in Early Childhood in Kosovo", organized by Save the Children in Kosovo, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Kosovo Pedagogical Institute on 13 November 2019 at Hotel Sirius.

Opportunities for policy makers, service providers, academia representatives and other stakeholders to discuss and share best practices on the importance of investing in early childhood care and development were discussed at the conference.

The conference participants also talked about the role and responsibilities of Universities, care, development and education in early childhood, and shared best practices from representatives of Universities from Kosovo, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
