Within the academic forum dedicated to Prof.Fehmi Agani - Martyr of the nation and science- Year of Prof.Fehmi Agani in the 25th anniversariy of the fall: 1999-2022, the Rector of “Fehmi Agani” University of Gjakova participated, Prof.Ass.Dr. Drilon Bunjaku accompanied the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences prof.Ass.Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, spoke also the Rector of University of Shkodra “ Luigj Gurakuqi”. - Prof.Dr.Rajmonda Këçira Ambasador of Republic of Kosovo in Albania. His excellency Mr.Durmishi, Academian, Proff..Dr. Kosta Barjaha, Prof Lekë Sokoli from the Albania institute of sociology as well as other academic personalities.

In his speech Rector Bunjaku highlighted that “Albanians have lost a lot from the murder of Prof. Academic Fehmi Agani, he is murdered in person but not in spirit, because young boys and girls followed his steps, ideas and his vision the institutions are built and universities have his name.

It’s our pleasure for us to have his name, that our university has the name of the deceased, the Professor and the man who gave his life for the ideas of the nation and the country, for knowledge and science. So, Fehmi Agani, we bow to you for the contribution and your merits and to you we will forever be thankful. Even though in person prof. Agani has abandoned this world for 25 years, he will be a colos and a great icon in the gallery of the Albanian nation, part of the history of Kosova’s country, a peace martyr, part of the freedom and democracy. Great figures like that of Agani’s maybe leave fast, but they always leave great work behind, work which will be a legacy and a guide for the next generations.

This year will be Prof. Fehmi Agani on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his murder by the Serbian forces, in which research, scientific, academic activities will be marked in Universities and various institutions, with the aim of remembering the work and legacy of Prof. Agani.

The forum was organized by the Albanian Institute of Sociology - Albanian Sociological Association in cooperation with the University of Shkodra, the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Albania, the "Fehmi Agani" University of Gjakova, as well as the University of Tirana. In this academic forum, the University of Shkodra was awarded the "Fehmi AGANI Excellence Award", which was presented to the rector Prof. Dr. Rajmonda Keçira.
