Visit to the Drake University in Iowa, USA


Vice-Rector Prof. Ass. Dr. Mimoza Dushi and General Secretary Linda Dula Halilabazi of the University of Gjakova ‘Fehmi Agani”, stayed for a few days at the Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa state of USA, invited by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Janet McMahill. 

During this visit, were held meetings with representatives of various leading structures of the Drake University and the Faculty of Education, including officials for international cooperation, research, strategy, Alumni unit, etc. The purpose of the visit was to have a closer impression of the activities of Drake University and the possibilities of cooperation, especially for new methodologies and excellence in teaching, joint study programs and mutual mobility for academic staff and students.

In the Fort Dodge city in Iowa state, the sister city of Gjakova, Vice Rector Dushi and Secretary Dula Halilabazi, in separate meetings were hosted by the city mayor and president of the Iowa Central Community College. In these meetings, were discussed about the joint projects between two cities in the field of culture and education, as well as the mobility of existing and potential students. 

This visit was ended with the meeting at the Kosovo Consulate in Des Moines, in Iowa, respectively with Consul Xhavit Gashi, who expressed the readiness to assist in the implementation of all planned activities and further developing of this cooperation.
