"Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova held a two-day workshop with the HERAS Plus Project to review the Internal Regulations
On the 30th of June 29-30, 2021, the staff of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, supported by the HERAS Plus Project held a two-day workshop to review and revise the Internal Regulations. The activity is part of the process, which aims to harmonize the internal legal framework of the university with the recently adopted Statute.
At the opening of the workshop, the Rector of UFAGJ, prof. ass. dr. Artan Nimani, thanked "Heras" for the support in terms of training, but also other projects that are being implemented jointly. Rector Nimani praised the project for providing management and resources that are vital for the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova on the road to strategic development. On the other hand, Mr. Nehat Dervishi, HERAS Plus Thematic Coordinator for Higher Education, emphasized the excellent partnership and cooperation between the Project and UFAGJ, who noted that further support will be provided in line with the findings of the Baseline Assessment Report and based on the project. funds earmarked for public universities.
The two-day workshop took place in the context of supporting the university to implement the recommendations that emerged from the Baseline Assessment Report. The report states that the new University Statute, adopted by the Kosovo Assembly in December 2020, requires that most university regulations need to be harmonized and revised.
The Project team worked closely with the UFAG leadership to address the task of reviewing regulations and other domestic policy documents. In this process, working groups were created, while the Rector, prof. ass. dr. Artan Nimani, supervised the general procedures.
