The Western Balkan Alumni Association (WBAA), after a great deal of work, dedication and collaborative effort by volunteers from the Western Balkan Alumni Association, the Institute for Advanced Study in Vienna, Austria, the WBAA Service Provider and the European Commission, now offers the follow-up to the WBAA Tracer Study.

The purpose of this study is to support the improvement of the academic and economic aspects of various institutions by collecting qualitative and quantitative data and reliable information from students and staff who had study exchange experiences, as well as to enable evidence-based assessment of Higher Education systems and curricular changes.

The WBAA is launching the Tracer Study with the aim of gathering alumni perceptions, thoughts, experiences, knowledge, memories, paths, and relevant ideas, to contribute to the academic landscape and economies of the Western Balkans region.

Qualified participants of the Tracer Study are alumni from the Western Balkans who have completed part of their studies over the last 10 years outside the Western Balkans in one of the Erasmus + Program Countries, either as an EU or non-EU researcher or as a self-funded individual.

The collected data will be analyzed and presented separately for the partner program with the possibility of further analysis that would take into account gender, age and other demographics. The expected results will be formulated and disseminated to as many Western Balkan institutions as possible in the form of reports and research papers. Therefore, the results will be oriented towards data-driven actions, decisions and policy-making.
