Rector Nimani receives the former President of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga
Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Artan Nimani, accompanied by the vice-rectors, Prof. Ass. Dr. Vjollca Dibra and Prof. Ass. Dr. Laura Naka, Prof. Ass. Dr. Haxhi Kamberi and the Secretary General, Mrs. Linda Dula Halilabazi, received in a meeting Mrs. AtifeteJahjaga and her collaborators from the "Jahjaga Foundation".
Rector Nimani thanked Mrs. Jahjaga for the visit to the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, also described the meeting as very important. He informed them about the developments in the university, regarding the projects, about the achievements of the university, the progress of the processes, the functioning of the university, emphasizing the cooperation with the institutions that are in the service of the community.
Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga thanked for the reception and congratulated the managerial staff, academic and administrative staff for the work done in achieving the many successes of UFAGJ. Mrs. Jahjaga said that he feels happy that the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova consists of 78% of female students. Also, the former president of Kosovo, promised to engage in promoting the UFAGJ in the network of international universities.
Brikena Avdyli, Executive Director of the "Jahjaga Foundation" thanked for the reception and assured that she will be committed to UFAGJ to become a partner for cooperation in projects that are in the interest of the community. He also unveiled the strategy and work plan of the "Jahjaga Foundation", which aims at social inclusion and support of marginalized groups, as an initial condition for building peace in the region.
Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Artan Nimani and the former President of Kosovo, Mrs. AtifeteJahjaga, agreed to concretize this initiative in the near future in cooperation agreements to implement joint projects, including the internationalization of research and training activities, identification of new strategies in the social and cultural aspect, dissemination of knowledge and experiences in the space of the operation of both institutions and the provision of services to support the exchange of experiences between the parties.
"Fehmi Agani" University and "Jahjaga Foundation" consider it important to create and strengthen institutional cooperation, aimed at community service.
