University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova and HERAS + Team Foster Promising Collaboration for Institutional Enhancement

The Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjakiu, held an official meeting with representatives of the HERAS+ project, led by Mr. Aqim Emurli, along with team members Mr. Nehat Dervishi and Ms. Donjeta Ibra. Additionally, present at the meeting were the Vice Rector Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazli Tyfekçi and the Vice Rector for Research, Academic Development, and Quality Assurance, Prof. Asst. Dr. Arben Boshnjaku.

During this fruitful meeting, the discussion centered on the strategic vision and institutional development of UFAGJ. Rector Bunjaku shared insightful ideas and priorities for the university's growth.

The conversation proposals for harmonizing the regulation framework for the upcoming institutional accreditation. 

The conversation also revolved around the Rector's proposals for the harmonization of regulations, and preparatory activities for the future institutional accreditation.

Moreover, the participants explored concrete opportunities aligned with UFAGJ's priorities and emerging needs within the available project resources. Rector Bunjakiu expressed keen interest of the UFAGJ in further collaboration, showcasing a strong willingness to deepen ties and foster ongoing cooperation with the HERAS + team.

*“HERAS+ – Higher Education Research and Applied Science Plus” project aims to contribute to a higher education and research system in Kosovo that is better governed, more international, coherent, effective, and efficient, fostering students’ employability and the third mission of universities.

The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), and co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. HERAS+ is implemented by a highly experienced Austrian consortium represented by (WUS Austria) as the lead partner.
