The Rector of the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova, Prof.Ass.Dr.Drilon Bunjaku, accompanied by the General Secretary Msc.Linda Dula Halilabazi, Head of the Finances, Rina Rudi Xhiha, and officers Arta Kaçi and Arianit Kupa, participated in the closing conference of the STAND Project, as the biggest structural project financed by ERASMUS+, which was held at IBCM in Mitrovica.

Part of this conference were also representatives of the partner Universities in Kosovo and the region, MESTI representatives, ambassadors and other officers.

In this conference were discussed the achievements of the project, experts’ evaluations and other activities that mostly dealt with the Universities’ financial autonomy, transparency and accountability, as a challenge in and of itself for the Universities of Kosovo and the region. Among other issues, there was also discussed the connection between the corresponding ministries and the universities for the stimulation of implementation and sustainability of the HEI’s autonomy in the West Balkan and the capacity increase of the HEIs staff.

By the end of the event, there were comments given in regards to the monitoring and the implementation of the project, and the review of other forms that would contribute to its continuity.

Part of the project have been 17 partners from the West Balkan and EU, among them also the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova.
