International Cooperation and Projects

In fulfillment of its mission, the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova emphasizes international cooperation in support of teaching and scientific research by fostering collaboration with universities and other partners around the world. The university's international approach includes and harmonizes various aspects of university life: teaching, research, and administration. In this framework, UFAGJ is committed to giving an international dimension and presence to the research conducted at the university, to the publications produced by the university and its academic staff, both internally and externally, through scientific research, and the exchange of students and academic and administrative staff with partner universities, as well as the creation and strengthening of international cooperation.
The strategic goal of the University of Gjakova “Fehmi Agani” is the development and improvement of all forms of international cooperation, in support of student and staff mobility, continuing with joint study programs at all levels, scientific research, and participation in European programs and projects.
The focus of the work of the International Cooperation and Projects Directorate is primarily directed towards European Union programs for Research and Development such as: Erasmus+; the European Programme for Science and Technology (COST); the Euraxess Network, as well as other inter/national programs for research and development such as the Regional Research Promotion Program.

Following this priority and the Erasmus Policy Statement, The “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, although not part of it, has adopted the European Education Policy developed under the Bologna Process and has expressed its readiness to make the changes that will lead to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
In this spirit, within the framework of International Cooperation and projects at UFAGJ, the following have been established:

The Office for International Cooperation is a structure established within the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, which will collaborate with a wide range of partners at the regional, national, and international levels. Therefore, the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, with the aim of creating greater opportunities for students and staff, is placing a high priority on intensifying international cooperation, international activities, as well as initiatives to establish cooperation agreements for the exchange of students and academic staff, intensive participation in European Union programs, and collaboration with institutions in European countries and beyond.

The Office for Project Management was established because UFAGJ aims to be involved in as many academic and scientific development projects as possible within the framework of European higher education projects, projects that, above all, support the development of academic staff, the mobility of faculty, students, and staff, the application of European quality standards, the organization of joint scientific conferences, the transfer and adaptation of pedagogical methods from internationally recognized authors, the equipping of teaching environments and laboratories, etc.

The Office for Career Development and Alumni focuses on preparing and integrating its students into the job market and on their career development. It oversees the professional progress of individuals who have completed their studies at the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova and facilitates their networking. Through various meetings and activities organized by the ZZHKA, students will be supported in sharing ideas, initiatives, innovations, and collaborations with one another, which will help them face the challenges of the job market. ZZHKA offers numerous opportunities for students to promote themselves, such as presenting their work to other graduates and UFAGJ students, being active participants in social, educational, and cultural life, and having the chance to exchange information about career development opportunities, etc. Through them, we will seek to analyze our challenges as UFAGJ. They will receive answers about what their needs are after graduation, and in this way modernize the curricula.
