International Cooperation and Projects

In fulfillment of its mission, the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani", emphasizes the international cooperation in terms of teaching and research by promoting cooperation with universities and other partners anywhere in the world. The international approach of the university includes and harmonizes various aspects of university life: teaching, research and administration. In this context, UGJFA is committed to giving an international dimension and presence to research conducted at the university, publications carried out by the university and by academic staff inside and outside through scientific research, student exchange, academic and administrative staff with universities partners, as well as the establishment and strengthening of international cooperation.

The strategic goal of the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani" is the development and improvement of all forms of international cooperation, in order to mobilize students and staff, continuing with joint study programs of all levels, scientific research and involvement in programs and European projects.

The work of the Directorate of International Cooperation and Projects focuses mainly on European Union research and development programs such as: Horizon 2020; Erasmus +; European Science and Technology Program (COST); Euraxess Network but also to other international / research programs for research and development such as Regional Research Promotion Program (RRPP), etc.

Following this priority and the Erasmus Policy Declaration, the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani", although not part of it, has approved the European Education Policy elaborated in the part of the Bologna Process and has expressed its readiness to make changes that lead to the European Higher Education Area - EHEA.

In this spirit, in the framework of International Cooperation and projects at UGJFA are established:

International Cooperation Office is a structure set up within the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani, which will work with a wide range of regionally, nationally and internationally partners. Therefore University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani, with the aim of creating greater opportunities for students and academic staff, is paying great advantage intensifying international cooperation activities with international character, as well as initiatives of agreements of cooperation exchange of students and academic staff, intensive participation in EU programs, as well as cooperation with institutions of European countries and beyond.

The Office for Project Management has been established as UGJFA aims to be involved in as many academic and scientific development projects as possible in the framework of European higher education projects, projects that above all entertain the development of academic staff, teacher and student mobility, application of European quality standards, organization of joint scientific conferences, transfer and adaptation of pedagogical methods by internationally renowned authors, equipment of teaching facilities and laboratories, etc.

The Office for Career Development and Alumni focuses on integrating graduate students into the job market and their career development. It deals with the professional well-being of individuals who have completed their studies at the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani" and their interconnection. Through various meetings and activities that will be developed by OCDA, students will be supported in transmitting ideas, initiatives, innovation and cooperation to each other, which will help them face the challenges of the labor market. OCDA offers many opportunities for former students to be promoted as: presenting work to other graduates and UGJFA students, to be an active part of social, educational and cultural life, to have the opportunity to exchange information about development opportunities of career etc.

Through them we will try to analyze our challenges as UGJFA. They will get answers on what their needs are after graduation, and in this way modernize the curricula. The Office for Career Development and Alumni was formed around the university and includes graduates from all age groups.

Across the University exciting and innovative projects are made possible through cooperation with partners and supporters. Still, project participation and management is new in academia, but University of Gjakova “Fehmi Agani” do prioritise participation in different projects financed by EU, US programs supporting higher education and proudly do present below projects:
