Faculty of Medicine has been part of two projects such as ERASMUS +, which includes:

  • Project SMAHPC (Student-run Multidisciplinary Allied Health Practice Center) and Project SOCRE (Developing Social Rehabilitation Through Education).

  • The SOCRE project aims to improve education in social rehabilitation through lifelong learning in line with the Bologna Process, by establishing cooperation between HEIs, Practical Institutions (Clinics and Rehabilitation Centers) and the relevant Ministries.

Here are equipment such as electric wheelchairs, simple wheelchairs, strollers, ambulances (cane / cart, chariot, walking stroller) for learning purposes, Electric Bariatric Table of Verticalization of the patient, exercise equipment / multifunctional and profitable equipment for strengthening the lower and upper extremities, Ipad etc.

There are also Heras projects within which is the project "Prevalance of Sarcopenia and the Impact of Genetic Factors" and CEEPUS networks within which is "Engineering as Communication Language in Europe" and "Computer Aided Design of automated for assembling" for mobility of academic staff and students

As part of the Faculty of Medicine, the Biochemical Laboratory - laboratory for collecting blood and genetic samples has been functionalized, as well as the realization of the initial stages of analysis until deep freezing (ready for transport to continue the advanced stages of analysis in Molecular Biology Laboratory at the University of Vienna).

The laboratory was built within the project "Health status of the elderly in Kosovo through the measurement of biochemical and genetic contributors" Funded by the Grant Program for the Support of Universities by the Embassy of the United States of America in Pristina.

Initially, it will serve for the realization of the above-mentioned research project, and with its completion (October 1, 2019) it will be used as a place where the students of the Nursing and Midwifery branches perform their laboratory exercises.

The laboratory is equipped with:

  • Micropipettes of various shapes and sizes;

  • Test tubules of various sizes for blood collection and collection;

  • Autoclaves;

  • Large centrifuge;

  • Vortex mixer;

  • Nutating mixer;

  • Deep freezer;

  • Compact laboratory refrigerator;

In addition, the laboratory has a special generator through which it is possible to supply emergency electricity.

Equipment and functionalization of the multimedia language laboratory for the Faculty of Philology

Descriptions and Details

The Multimedia Laboratory of Languages has 21 computers together with integrated microphone headphones, as well as USB-connected headphones with integrated microphone boom (boom microphone)

This laboratory has 20 student places and one per professor. The software is compatible with the operating system of the university network installed on an existing server. The software does not interfere with the use of other software in language learning.

The software system facilitates the recording and review of student work and the transmission of video, audio and text files by the professor to the student desk.

The software allows the professor to communicate with students and has access to their records, individual, group or in pairs or larger groups. The student will be able to establish contact with the professor. Students should be able to work together in larger pairs and groups.

The student will be able to record and review his / her work and use various materials from their desktops to include videos, audio, text and files available or prepared by the teacher. The student will also have controlled access to approved websites.

Installation and support

The provider has fully installed and tested the program and will provide, as a minimum, the equivalent of one day of training for university staff.

The support of the supplier is provided for three years from the date of installation, during the academic year, from 09:00 to 16:00. This support will include an "online help" and email query service.
