An important step toward greater support and care for children on the autism spectrum!
The Faculty of Social Sciences, in cooperation with the Foundation for Supporting the Autism Spectrum in Kosovo, held an activity to mark the opening of the Foundation.
The activity was attended by the President of the Foundation, Mr. Rasim Smajlaj; the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi; Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sherif Sejdiu; Prof. Dr. Artan Nimani; the President and members of the Student Parliament; as well as students of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the importance of the Foundation, the services it will provide, and the need for greater support for children on the autism spectrum and their families. Emphasis was placed on the importance of care, professional services, and creating opportunities to ensure that every child receives the support they need.
The activity was also attended by former graduates of our University, whose presence honoured the occasion.
We believe that every initiative of this kind represents a step towards a more caring and inclusive society. Every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the opportunity to develop.
We would like to thank all participants for their presence and contribution, as well as the Foundation for its cooperation and this important initiative for the community.
