Interested UFAGJ students and alumni can now apply for “The You and Europe Scholarship Programme”. This programme is jointly run by the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung F.V.S. and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). It is aimed at students who wish to complete their entire Master’s degree at a German higher education institution.

The programme is open to students from all academic disciplines at universities. Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellent academic performance and outstanding commitment to their studies, with academic results placing them among the top 10–15% of their cohort.

The scholarship programme includes the following benefits:

· Monthly financial support: A needs-based scholarship ranging from €300 to €1,155 per month, with possible additional benefits such as health insurance subsidies or family allowances. Funding is provided for the standard duration of the Master’s programme, with extensions possible in exceptional, justified cases.

· Annual networking opportunities: Two networking meetings each year focusing on European topics, bringing together scholarship recipients from across the programme. Accommodation, meals, and programme fees are covered, and travel expenses are subsidised.

· Peer support: Access to the Studienstiftung’s peer programme, which can connect newly arriving students with a local contact person to help them settle in and find their way around their university and new surroundings.

· Additional programme membership: Students from EU Member States and EU accession countries are admitted to the scholarship programme of the Studienstiftung.

· A European network: The opportunity to become part of an engaged community of students from across Europe.

Application procedure and important deadlines:

The first step in the application process is to obtain a nomination from a university professor who can attest to the applicant’s academic achievements during their Bachelor’s degree. If you are interested in applying for this program, please reach out to one of your professors by November 15^th.

Please note the following deadlines:

• November 15^th – UFAGJ Internal Deadline for Nominations
• December 2026: Deadline for submitting nominations.
• 4 January 2027: Deadline for submitting the complete application documents.

Academic staff must submit nominations digitally via the Programmwebsite.
