University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova and the University of Tetova Sign a Cooperation Agreement

Within the framework of its commitment to internationalization and enhancing the quality of higher education, the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Tetova. The agreement was formalized by the Rector of UFAGJ, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, and the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, in a constructive atmosphere and with a shared commitment to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.

This strategic partnership aims to advance inter-institutional collaboration in key areas such as scientific research, the development of study programs, and the strengthening of professional capacities, in alignment with contemporary European higher education standards.

Within the framework of this agreement, the parties have committed to creating concrete opportunities for student and academic staff mobility, as well as developing joint projects for application to international programs such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe. This approach aims to increase UFAGJ’s participation in international academic networks and to contribute to improving the quality of teaching and research.

Furthermore, the agreement foresees the joint organization of conferences, seminars, and scientific activities, as well as the development of joint study programs aligned with labor market needs and the professional development of students.

On this occasion, Rector Bunjaku emphasized the importance of establishing sustainable cooperation among Albanian-speaking universities by integrating modern models such as “blended education” through technology, highlighting that such initiatives directly contribute to improving academic quality, increasing networking, and strengthening the role of Albanian-speaking universities in social and economic development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, new joint initiatives were also discussed, including the idea of establishing a nationwide academic mobility network that would connect Albanian-speaking universities for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The management of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova remains committed to expanding strategic partnerships and strengthening inter-university cooperation, with the aim of enhancing the quality of higher education and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff.
