Completion of the NanoKos Project – Contribution of the University “Fehmi Agani” to Research on Air Quality and Nanomaterials
We are pleased to announce the completion of the NanoKos project, within which the following study was conducted:
“Assessment of Volatile Organic Compounds in Indoor and Outdoor Air in Prishtina, Kosovo: A Comparative Study with Carbon Nanoparticles and Health Risk Assessment,” funded by the European Union (EU).
A peer-reviewed scientific article has already been published in Atmosphere Journal (indexed in Web of Science and Scopus) as part of our mobility at the University of Milan, and additional publications are planned through the project “Increasing Research Capacities in Kosovo,” contributing continuously to research in air quality, public health, and nanomaterials.
We would like to thank the entire professional team from the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova and the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” for their dedication and tireless work — together we have achieved significant scientific results.
This project demonstrates that the University “Fehmi Agani” continues to make an important contribution to society and scientific development.
Thanks to the hard work of the team, all phases of the project — monitoring, testing of nanomaterial-based adsorbents, computer simulations, assessment of respiratory function, and the impact of pollutants on cardiac cells — will provide sustainable scientific contributions for years to come.
