The meeting was attended by the cybersecurity expert MSc. Yll Ferizi, the Director of the Didactic Center for Excellence in Teaching, Prof. Dr. Sindorela Doli, as well as the Acting Secretary General of UFAGJ, Ms. Nita Pruthi.
The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate the planning of joint engagements and to deepen cooperation between the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova and the Association of Intellectuals “Jakova”. During the meeting, UFAGJ representatives were closely informed about the numerous activities of the Association of Intellectuals “Jakova”, which, despite a minimal symbolic budget, has been the promoter of many initiatives thanks to the strong commitment and dedication of its Presidency and members.
Rector Bunjaku informed the participants about the progress achieved by UFAGJ during 2025, highlighting the establishment of the new academic unit—the Faculty of Applied Sciences—as well as the development of the Informatics Engineering study program, including the perspectives for the University’s further development.
Considering the rapid technological development and the increasing risks of cyberattacks, the meeting emphasized the need to raise awareness and provide training for academic and administrative staff, as well as students, focusing on practical skills for protection against potential cybersecurity risks.
As a concrete outcome of this coordination meeting, the parties agreed to organize a series of training and awareness-raising lectures focused on cybersecurity and risk management related to digital presence in higher education. In this context, the Association of Intellectuals “Jakova” will support UFAGJ, namely the Didactic Center for Excellence in Teaching, through the expertise of its member, MSc. Yll Ferizi, contributing to the implementation of dedicated activities for academic and administrative staff as well as for university students.
On this occasion, Rector Bunjaku thanked the President and representatives of the Association for their readiness to cooperate, while also expressing his willingness to further deepen joint activities in the future.
