The project Blended Education in Western Balkans Universities (BEWBU) aims to strengthen the capacities of teachers and higher education institutions (HEIs). Its goal is to improve pedagogical competences in higher education through the integration of blended education into the programs of Western Balkans universities, as a necessity for making the education system more flexible in responding to new challenges, while promoting inclusiveness and democratization of the educational process.

• The focus will be on:
  Developing pedagogical and digital capacities in higher education through the integration of blended education into the programs of Western Balkans HEIs
• Preparing future teachers for the Digital Age and for their engagement in regional and European labor markets;
•  Implementing pedagogical practices in the teaching programs of Western Balkans partners, preparing today’s students—the teachers of tomorrow—with the ability to understand and apply the blended learning (BL) and blended teaching (BT) approaches in their profession.

Specific Objective of the Project

• To enhance the pedagogical and digital capacities of academic staff and students through the inclusion of innovative learning and teaching methods in Western Balkans HEIs for blended education;
• The integration of innovative teaching methods within the framework of blended education (BE) will help educators improve their skills and knowledge, making them more effective in a broader educational context
•  Improving student learning outcomes: Using innovative teaching methods can help students better understand and retain information, leading to improved academic performance;
• Increasing student engagement: Blended education can make learning more interactive and engaging for students, enhancing their motivation and participation in the learning process.
