
Open Debate on the Drafting of the Strategic Plan 2026–2030 at the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova
In the premises of the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova was held an open debate with the participation of the representatives of the leading structures, academic staff and administration in function of the preparation of the Strategic Plan of the University 2026-2030.
The Debate was opened by Mrs. Majlinda Haxhikadrija Ramadani, Head of the Steering Council of the University, who emphasized the importance of the harmonization of the new strategic plan with the objectives of the Higher Education Strategy in Kosovo, and in the direction of the dynamic development of technology. In her speech, she emphasized the need for an inclusive approach, oriented towards quality, digitalization and competitiveness of the higher education in accordance with European standards.
Afterwards, Prof.Dr. Lulzim Zeneli, head of the Working Group for drafting the new strategy, held a detailed presentation on the new strategic structure, wherein he emphasized the main aims of the university for the 2026-2030 period. The presentation included the main strategic pillars: quality education, scientific research, digitalization, internationalization, infrastructural development and connection with the job market. Likewise, it was emphasized that the sustainability and quality of the University are dependent directly from the sustainable investment in the four main pillars.
After the presentations an open and interactive debate took place with the participants, wherein were exchanged opinions and analyses regarding the content of the plan and the challenges in front. The discussion was focused on some main fields related to the University development:
- Digitalization and inclusion of artificial intelligence in the teaching and academic management process;
- International academic and scientific cooperation;
- Development of scientific research and its application in the service of the community;
- The role of study programs within the university's third mission: impact on the social, economic and cultural development of the region.
The debate served as a significant step for the engagement of all stakeholders in building a new strategy that will lead the university towards a sustainable development, research and innovation.
The process of drafting the strategic planning will continue by the working group, integrating thus all actors in order to ensure an inclusive, objective strategic plan, which relies on vision and progressive institutional development.
