In Tampere University, Finland was held the second phase of the Project which aims the strengthening of Blended Learning in the Western Balkan

From April 8 to April 10, 2025, in the University of Applied Sciences in Tampere (TAMK), in Tampere, Finland, was held the second consortium meeting, within the framework of the Project “Blended Education for Western Balkan Universities (BEWBU)”, an initiative that aims the strengthening of pedagogical capacities in higher education through contemporary blended learning models (blended learning/teaching).

This event gathered representatives of partner universities from various European and regional countries, where feasibility data from research conducted with key higher education stakeholders were presented. During the working sessions, specific needs for training and support from EU partners were identified, with the aim of increasing the quality and compliance with European standards in blended learning.

The BEWBU project team from the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, consisting of the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Projects, Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazli Tyfekci, Prof. Ass. Dr. Gentiana Muhaxhiri, Prof. Ass. Dr. Elsa Vula, presented the current state of legislation on blended learning in higher education in Kosovo. They highlighted the existing challenges and opportunities for further development in this direction.

The workshop demonstrated the high engagement of participating institutions to modernization of teaching in higher education, and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in improving academic quality, especially in an increasingly digitalized and technologically transformed context.
