The Clinical Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine at the “Isa Grezda” Hospital in Gjakova represents a modern practical learning environment, designed to support the development of clinical competencies of students of the Faculty of Medicine. Organized according to contemporary standards of education in health sciences, the laboratory enables students to develop practical skills through clinical simulations and the use of modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

The laboratory is equipped with four multifunctional electric beds, multifunctional mannequins for clinical simulations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) mannequins, oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, electronic patient monitors, ECG machines, immobilization equipment, surgical suture sets, neonatal mannequins, intubation mannequins, nasogastric tube placement and colostomy care models, and blood sampling mannequins.

The laboratory also has modern laboratory equipment for rapid diagnostic tests, including analyzers for measuring electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium), an analyzer for glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), as well as equipment for determining C-reactive protein (CRP). These devices enable students to become familiar with modern procedures for laboratory diagnostics and interpretation of clinical results.

Thanks to its modern infrastructure and advanced equipment, the Clinical Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine at the “Isa Grezda” Hospital creates optimal conditions for the integration of theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, in hospital settings, contributing to the professional preparation of students according to contemporary standards of university education in medical and health sciences.
