Presentation of the project "UP TO YOUTH" was held
Today, 01.11.2019, at the Faculty of Philology the project "UP TO YOUTH" was presented .It is funded by USAID and is spread in 9 municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, among which the municipality of Gjakova engages about 40 young people.
The USAID-funded "Up to Youth" project works with Kosovo youth -ages 16-24 who are vulnerable to social exclusion, mobilizing and empowering them for a positive impact on society. The project aims at marginalized youth, especially those undervalued by capital initiatives, with unaddressed stress and trauma, or vulnerable to the development of risky behaviors. The program works to build youth assets and agencies, enabling young people to contribute and play leadership roles in their communities, building and supporting networks and an environment that provides opportunities for positive youth development.
The aim of the project is to positively impact young people under the age of 24 who make up 42% of Kosovo's population, 52% of whom are unemployed and 30% belong to the informal economy. Filled with ambition and a desire to integrate fully into the global economy, while frustrated by the opportunities at their disposal, youth will play a key role in determining Kosovo's political and economic future, and make your voice be heard.
Those who are interested and would like to participate should bring their applications to the Office of External Relations at the UGFA Rectorate no later than November 11 at 12:00 noon.
Good luck!
