With UFAGJ’s Participation, Sapienza Staff Week 2026 Concludes

Rome, Italy – Sapienza Staff Week 2026 was held at Sapienza University of Rome, bringing together representatives of higher education institutions from various countries to exchange professional experiences, share good practices, and strengthen inter-university cooperation.

The event took place from 12 to 16 October 2026 and featured a comprehensive programme of presentations, thematic discussions, and professional sessions focused on the internationalisation of higher education, academic mobility, quality assurance, and the development of international partnerships.

Freskina Mula Ermeni, representing the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova (UFAGJ), also participated in this international event. Her participation in Sapienza Staff Week 2026 provided an opportunity to exchange professional experiences with representatives of other higher education institutions, become acquainted with contemporary practices and developments in university internationalisation, and explore opportunities for expanding inter-institutional cooperation.

Throughout the event, participants exchanged experiences regarding the development of joint study programmes, double and multiple degrees, as well as cooperation opportunities through the Erasmus+ programme and other international mobility schemes.

One of the main topics addressed was quality assurance and accreditation in higher education. Through presentations delivered by representatives of universities and international institutions, participants discussed academic evaluation mechanisms, the development of a quality culture, and the challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence in evaluation and accreditation processes.

The programme also included sessions on supporting international students, intercultural awareness, digital education, online courses, and the development of micro-credentials. These topics provided opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences on improving academic and administrative services, as well as creating higher-quality experiences for students participating in international programmes.

The programme also presented opportunities for funding and developing international projects, with a focus on Erasmus+ KA171, Erasmus Mundus, and capacity-building projects in higher education.

Sapienza Staff Week 2026 concluded with discussions and professional exchanges that highlighted the importance of international cooperation in advancing higher education, increasing academic mobility, and developing sustainable partnerships between universities.

Participation in such activities represents an important opportunity to strengthen institutional capacities, expand international networks, and identify new practices that contribute to improving the quality and competitiveness of higher education institutions.
