management of the White Drin River Basin. The event was organized by the “Rilindja e Gjelbër” NGO from Peja.
The University was represented by Bujar Nura, an official from the International Cooperation Office; Besmir Pepshi, President of the Student Parliament; and a group of students from various faculties, who had the opportunity to follow the discussions and contribute to the exchange of ideas on environmental issues.
The central theme of this year’s event was drought, its impacts on the White Drin River Basin, community responses, and strategies for strengthening resilience and adapting to climate change. The event brought together representatives of public institutions, civil society organizations, academia, and local and international partners to discuss the key findings of the report entitled “Summary of Citizens’ Perceptions of the White Drin River Basin” and identify priorities for the sustainable governance of water resources through a panel discussion.
The participation of representatives of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova demonstrates the institution’s commitment to promoting sustainable development, protecting the environment, and actively involving students in initiatives addressing environmental and climate challenges.
The University remains committed to strengthening cooperation with partner institutions and organizations, creating opportunities for students and staff to participate in processes that contribute to environmental protection and the sustainable development of the country.
