KQSC Holds Its Regular Meeting and Reviews Key Issues Related to Quality Assurance at UFAGJ
The Central Quality Assurance Commission (CQAC) of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova (UFAGJ) held its regular meeting, during which a number of important issues related to the advancement of quality assurance and quality improvement processes at the University were addressed.
At the beginning of the meeting, the new members of the CQAC were welcomed and provided with the Quality Assurance Policies Manual of UFAGJ, with the aim of familiarizing and informing them about the institutional framework and quality assurance processes.
An important part of the meeting focused on quality assurance reports and improvement processes within the academic units. The Winter Semester 2025/2026 Quality Assurance Report for the Faculty of Education was analyzed, while progress in the preparation of reports by other academic units was also discussed. In addition, the recommendations of the Quality Assurance Commission for the Faculty of Education and the improvement plan were reviewed, as well as progress in fulfilling the recommendations arising from internal quality assurance reports across all academic units.
As part of the institutional evaluation process, the CQAC analyzed and approved the summary reports on the evaluation of graduates by employers for 2025, the evaluation of academic staff regarding administration and services, as well as the evaluation of academic staff regarding working conditions.
The performance of academic staff for the 2024/2025 academic year across all academic units was also reviewed, and the recommendations to be forwarded to the Senate for further consideration and action were approved.
The inclusion of underrepresented student groups in quality assurance processes was also among the key topics of the meeting. The CQAC reviewed the request of the Quality Assurance Office for the approval of two new evaluation instruments: a questionnaire for students with special needs and a questionnaire for students from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities.
During the meeting, an overview was also provided of the progress of the institutional re-accreditation process and of the academic programs undergoing re-accreditation and accreditation, as well as post-accreditation and monitoring processes at UFAGJ.
Furthermore, the members were informed about the launch of the distribution of evaluation questionnaires for the 2025/2026 academic year, as one of the key mechanisms for collecting, analyzing, and utilizing student feedback in support of continuous improvement.
Another issue discussed was the initiative to place and distribute a QR-code questionnaire throughout the University premises under the slogan “Your Voice, Our Action.” The instrument aims to enable students and staff to continuously submit suggestions, requests, and recommendations for improving services and processes at UFAGJ. Following the initial discussion, it was decided that this matter would be brought back for further consideration and discussion at the next CQAC meeting.
The meeting concluded with discussions on various matters, with particular emphasis on strengthening quality assurance mechanisms, following up on recommendations, and consolidating a sustainable culture of continuous improvement at the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.
