05.10.2026, Gjakovë – The Didactic Center for Teaching Excellence of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakovë (UFAGJ), in cooperation with the “Jakova” Association of Intellectuals, organized a training session entitled “Ethical Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education”, held on October 5, 2026.

The training was dedicated to the academic and administrative staff of UFAGJ and was delivered by MSc. Yll Ferizi, an expert in the field, providing practical knowledge and guidance on the effective, ethical, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in the university environment.

The training addressed important issues related to the use of AI in teaching, scientific research, and administration, including:

the use of AI for preparing teaching materials and supporting scientific research;

formulating effective prompts to generate more useful results;

verifying the accuracy, sources, and reliability of AI-generated content;

protecting personal and institutional data when using artificial intelligence platforms;

responsible use of tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar platforms.

Particular attention was paid to academic integrity, privacy and data protection, transparency in the use of AI, and algorithmic bias, as well as to distinguishing between acceptable and unacceptable uses of artificial intelligence in teaching, assessment, and administration.

Through practical exercises and examples, participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with AI tools and to become familiar with the principles that should guide their use in the context of higher education.

The participants’ strong interest and the discussions held during the training demonstrated the importance of continuing professional development activities in the field of artificial intelligence, with the aim of ensuring that emerging technologies are used effectively, ethically, and professionally to enhance the quality of teaching and university work.
