Student Transfer – September 2026

Based on the Statute of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova regarding the transfer of students across all academic units, interested students are hereby informed that, from 15 September 2026 to 21 September 2026, they may submit an application for transfer from other Higher Education Institutions to the respective faculties of UFAGJ.

I. Students from other Higher Education Institutions are permitted to transfer to the respective faculties of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.

II. Changing the study program is possible between study programs with the aim of attaining the same level of education, in accordance with the provisions of the Statute.

III. When changing the study program, a student is legally permitted to begin the new study program if at least fifty percent (50%) of the examinations have been successfully completed in the previous study program and are recognized in the new study program.

IV. When changing the study program from other Higher Education Institutions to the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, the same rules shall apply as those governing changes of study programs within the University.

V. A student is permitted to enroll in the new study program:

at least in the second year of studies; or

in the year of study immediately following the year completed in the previous study program.

VI. The student must submit the application for changing the study program (transfer) to the Study Committee of the academic unit where they wish to continue their studies. Along with the application submitted online through the University Management System (SMU), the student must submit the following original documents:

Transcript of grades;

Proof of completion of the respective semester for the 2025/2026 academic year;

Proof that the study program of the other Higher Education Institution is accredited;

Proof that the student is registered in SMIAL;

Birth certificate;

Copy of ID card.

VII. The application period for transfer to the academic units of UFAGJ is open from 15 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.

VIII. The Study Committee shall review the applications and recognize examinations completed under the previous study program in accordance with the applicable study program rules, by 23 September 2026.

IX. The decision on the transfer shall be made by the Council of the respective academic unit, upon the proposal of the Study Committee.

X. An appeal against a decision rejecting the transfer application may be submitted to the Council of the respective academic unit from 24 September 2026 to 25 September 2026, until 15:00.

XI. Transfers are permitted according to the available quotas for each study program:
