UFAGJ Strengthens Internationalization through Cooperation with “Gabriele d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy

An important meeting was held at the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova between the Rector, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, and the President of the Nursing Program at “Gabriele d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara, Prof. Dr. Giancarlo Cicolini.
The meeting was also attended by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sindorela Doli-Kryeziu, the Acting Secretary General, Ms. Nita Pruthi, and the International Cooperation Officer, Ms. Freskina Mula-Ermeni. This cooperation was supported by the initiators, Mr. Alban Hoti and Mr. Bledar Balla, who contributed to establishing the initial bridges of communication between the two institutions.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to deepen interinstitutional cooperation, with a particular focus on establishing a joint Double Degree program in the field of Nursing between the two universities. This cooperation aims to enhance academic quality, strengthen the internationalization of study programs, and promote the exchange of professional and scientific experiences among academic staff and students.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the possibility of engaging professors from the MEDS-24/C sector of the partner university was also discussed. These professors would contribute to the teaching process through online lectures, in accordance with the relevant academic authorizations and procedures.
The parties agreed to proceed in the coming days with the signing of an Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement, which will formalize the partnership and pave the way for the development of the joint study program.
The Management of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova remains committed to expanding international partnerships and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff, while building sustainable bridges of cooperation with prestigious European universities.
