“Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova today hosted an official visit from representatives of the non-governmental organization “Voice of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian,” within the framework of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and promoting the social and educational inclusion of Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities.

During this visit, representatives of both institutions discussed opportunities for cooperation in various fields, with a special emphasis on improving access to education, enhancing professional capacities, and developing joint projects aimed at empowering youth from these communities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UFAGJ, represented by the Rector Prof. Assoc. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, and the Project Coordinator Fortesa Shasivari from the NGO “Voice of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian.” This memorandum aims to establish a long-term cooperation framework, including the organization of trainings, seminars, awareness-raising activities, and internship programs for students.

Representatives of both parties considered this agreement an important step toward creating a more inclusive and equal society, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in supporting marginalized communities.

This collaboration is expected to contribute to increasing opportunities for education and professional development, as well as to building new bridges of cooperation between the academic sector and civil society.
