Today, on April 14, 2026, the regular meeting of the Council for Science was held at the premises of the Rectorate of “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.

During this meeting, the following agenda items were reviewed:

• Approval of the minutes from previous meetings;
• Review of requests for funding scientific publications and participation in conferences;
• Review of applications for the awards “Researcher of the Year” and “Young Researcher of the Year” for 2025;
• Miscellaneous.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Council for Science, Prof. Dr. Ilmi Hoxha. The following participants attended the meeting:

• Prof. Ass. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, member of the Commission;
• Prof. Ass. Dr. Shemsi Haziri, member of the Commission;
• Ass. Hana Domi, member of the Commission;
• Abedin Sadrija, member of the Commission;
• Qëndresa Bardhoshi, member of the Commission;
• Erlina Rizvanolli Meqa, representative from the Legal Office.

The meeting continued with the discussion of the agenda items in order. Within the item on funding scientific publications and conference participation, the commission thoroughly reviewed all submitted requests, assessing the fulfillment of criteria for each application.

Meanwhile, the item related to the review of applications for the awards “Researcher of the Year” and “Young Researcher of the Year” for 2025 was postponed to the next meeting, in order to ensure additional information and a fair evaluation.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of relevant decisions, in accordance with the competencies of the Council for Science and the applicable regulations, aiming to further advance scientific research activity at “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.
