Social Sciences – Social Care and Wellbeing (BA)
Academic Year: 2022/2023 | Graduated on time: 2025
“Fehmi Agani” University of Gjakova
Profile
My studies in the Social Care and Wellbeing (BA) program have represented for me a profound academic and human formation, directly influencing the development of my professional competencies, social sensitivity, and ethics of public service. Social work, for me, is not merely a profession, but a mission oriented toward the protection of human dignity and the empowerment of individuals and communities.
Throughout my studies, I was actively engaged in the learning process, academic presentations, and numerous activities on important social dates, as well as participation in conferences and professional forums, including the re-accreditation process of the Social Sciences program. These experiences contributed to the expansion of my theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of social work. The academic environment, the dedication of the teaching staff, and institutional support were key factors in shaping my professional identity.
Coming from a diverse professional background—media and journalism, public administration, and engagement as an assembly member—these studies represent a significant personal and professional transformation, orienting me toward a more inclusive and humane approach to addressing social issues.
After graduating on time, I began my professional engagement at the Center for Social Work in the city of Deçan, where, as a social worker, I contribute directly to the provision of social services and to supporting vulnerable groups, applying academic knowledge in practice and building bridges of cooperation between individuals, families, and institutions.
I express my deep gratitude to the academic staff, professors, and colleagues, who have been an inseparable part of this journey and have contributed to the realization of my aspiration to be an active part of the social care and wellbeing system.
To conclude simply with two professional statements on Social Work:
To serve in social work means to be an institutional voice for those who often remain unheard.
The social worker acts at the point where human need meets the institution, serving as a connecting bridge between the individual, the family, and society.
