Lirigzon Goçaj completed primary school at the “Edmond Hoxha” Primary School in Junik, and secondary school at the “Hysni Zajmi” Primary School in Gjakova. He completed his basic studies at the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, majoring in General Nursing, and his post-graduate studies (master’s degree) in Health Management at the UFAGJ. He is also studying for a second master’s degree, Human Resources Management, at Haxhi Zeka University.

Throughout his years as a dedicated student, Lirigzoni was also at the head of student representation for 3 consecutive years, where he raised his voice for students in the senate and governing council. He was the president of the Faculty of Medicine / Member of the Academic Council in FM (2021/2022), Senator from among the students (2022/2023), president of the Student Parliament (2023/2024), thus becoming the first student at UFAGJ who managed to lead all positions in the ranks of student representation. Not stopping there, Lirigzoni was also part of several committees such as: Central Quality Commission, Disciplinary Commission, University Strategic Planning Commission, FM Strategic Review Commission, working groups for drafting regulations, etc. and institutional accreditation processes. Being very active in the field of student activism, within his leadership period, Lirigzoni managed to carry out over 50 activities, awareness campaigns, discussion panels, debates, additional lectures and contributions to the community, and also co-founded the most innovative project at UFAGJ, the diabetic foot unit.

During his term as President of the Student Parliament, through his requests and lobbying, the tutorial system at UFAGJ was also activated. In the academic and scientific aspect, he has actively participated in international conferences, has contributed to the Conferences of the Faculty of Medicine and has published 3 scientific papers as a co-author. His dedication to the University did not stop with the completion of his studies. Currently, Lirigzon Goçaj is an Assistant engaged in the Faculty of Medicine, contributing to teaching and academic support for young students, at the same time he also practices the profession of a nurse at the Avicenna Laboratory in Gjakova, thus proving that the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova prepares skilled professionals who successfully apply the knowledge gained in practice in the service of the health system in the country.

The academic and professional path of former student Lirigzon Goçaj is proof that dedication, vision and commitment bring sustainable results. He is an excellent example of how a student of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova can become an important contributor to education, science and health.
