
KFOR Commander Lorenzo Mangia Visits “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova
Gjakova, 18 September 2025 – “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova welcomed Colonel Lorenzo Mangia, Commander of KFOR’s Western Region, on an official visit to strengthen cooperation and explore joint initiatives in security, education, and civic engagement.
Rector Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku thanked KFOR for its continued commitment to security in Kosovo and expressed appreciation for the Italian contingent’s support to the Faculty of Philology, including the donation of technical equipment for the Translation and Interpretation Laboratory. He reaffirmed the university’s readiness to remain a strategic partner of KFOR in initiatives that support security, education, and community development.
Colonel Mangia emphasized the value of collaborating with academic institutions to promote collective security and civic education. He noted that joint projects in areas such as local economic development and tourism can help strengthen ties between academic and local institutions while promoting the region’s values and culture.
The visit concluded with an exchange of courtesy gifts and group photos, highlighting the friendly and cooperative spirit of the partnership
