CQSC meeting dated 04.09.2025
On September 04, 2025, a meeting of the Central Commission for Quality Assurance was held, with the following members in attendance:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaltrina Kusari – Vice-Rector for Academic Development and Quality Enhancement, and Vice-Rector for Research and Scientific Studies;
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petrit Duraj – Member of the CCQA from the Faculty of Philology;
- Assistant Emirëjeta Kumnova – Member of the CCQA from the Faculty of Education;
- Assistant Mirëlinda Jasiqi – Member of the CCQA from the Faculty of Social Sciences;
- Assistant Blertë Hyseni – Member of the CCQA from the Faculty of Medicine;
- Qëndresa Bardhoshi – Acting Head of the Office for Quality Assurance;
- Albion Rexhaj – Member of the CCQA, Representative of the Student Parliament.
The following agenda items were discussed during the meeting:
- Approval of the minutes from the meeting held on 23.06.2025;
- Approval of the evaluation reports and recommendations from the Faculties of Education, Philology, and Social Sciences (2024–2025);
- Approval of the summary report of student evaluations of administrative staff;
- Approval of the report on students during the graduation process;
- Approval of the alumni evaluation report of UFAGJ;
- Notification regarding the Deans’ questionnaire;
- Discussion on the Quality Assurance Strategy and the Quality Assurance Manual;
- Scheduling meetings between the Vice-Rector, Quality Office, and Academic Units;
- Review of the Quality Assurance Regulation;
- Other business.
During this meeting, the recommendations submitted by the respective faculties regarding the evaluation of academic staff and course feedback from students for the winter semester of the academic year 2024/2025 were approved. Additionally, the findings of these reports and the next steps for implementing the recommendations were discussed.
The meeting continued with the discussion and approval of the remaining reports as per the agenda. Key topics included the drafting of the Quality Assurance Manual and the Quality Assurance Strategy, both aiming to contribute to the improvement and sustainability of the quality system at UFAGJ.
The Quality Office emphasized the need to organize individual meetings with academic units in order to inform them directly about the upcoming processes for the remainder of the year. It was also proposed that the following topics be addressed during these meetings:
- The monitoring process by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (AKA);
- The progress plan regarding accepted recommendations;
- The new regulation on Post-Accreditation Procedures.
Another important issue discussed was the urgent need for the approval of the revised Quality Assurance Regulation, which had also been recommended in the evaluation reports. Currently, this regulation is still in the working group phase.
Lastly, the distribution of the questionnaire for administrative staff was reviewed and approved.
