UNIMED – Union of Mediterranean Universities invites contributors to a case study entitled The Responsibility of Artificial Intelligence in Empowering Digital Collaboration in Higher Education. This publication is an initiative of the UNIMED Sub-Network on eLearning and Open Education and is intended as a collaborative effort to map and share innovative and responsible AI practices that support digital collaboration in Higher Education across the Mediterranean region. It will be presented at the UNIMED 2025 General Assembly hosted by the University of Calabria (Italy), providing a platform to highlight successful initiatives and lessons learned. The publication will be open access, ensuring wide dissemination. We welcome case studies from educators, administrators and university managers that highlight concrete applications of AI in the following areas:

• Institutional policies and strategies regarding AI
• Training programs and courses aimed at improving AI-related skills for faculty and students
• Al literacy guides,
• AI-enhanced teaching materials and improved AI practices in teaching
• Assessment methods supervised by AI
• AI-led training programs and courses

Submission Guidelines

• Case studies must follow the provided format, which is available.
• Contributions should be clear, concise, and focused on practical implementation at the course or institutional level.
• The paper must be written in English.
• Review and Acceptance Process

All submitted case studies will be reviewed by the editors and may undergo a review process for clarity, relevance, and quality. Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their contributions based on editorial feedback. Final acceptance will be based on the quality of the content and its alignment with the purpose of the paper.
