OSCE (Regional Office in Peja) and UFAGJ organized a Conference for the 25th Anniversary of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo
Honoring the 25 th anniversary of the OSBE in Kosovo, the Department for the Human and Community Rights in the Regional Office in Peja, in collaboration with the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova, have organized the conference that intends to give voice to the first interns that utilized their experience in OSBE to achieve their professionals skills.
The conference was held on the facilities of the Faculty of Social Sciences of UFAGJ. The conference was opened by Riccardo Celeghini, Director of the Regional Centre in Peja, OSBE, who claimed to be grateful for the organization of this conference in this important anniversary for the OSBE.
Present in this conference, in the name of the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova was the Vice-rector for International collaboration and Projects, Prof.Ass.Dr. Nazli Tyfekçi.In her greeting word, she said that practical work and volunteering are pillars of achievement and encouraged our youngsters who where present to pay attention to those fields. Tyfekçi added that the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’ in Gjakova is committed to collaborate closely with international organizations, institutions and civic society, in order to address and discuss issues that deal with the increase of social awareness and the development of the good practices, in both academic and social sphere. She considered this activity as an excellent example of this approach, providing our students with the opportunity to learn from the experience of the professionals who have passed through the OSBE mission.
The former interns at the OSCE, Fridon Lala, deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, Lendrit Qeli, leader of the ZKKK in Rahovec and Emrah Cërmjani, director of the NGO "Roma in Action" shared their experiences in front of the students, with the aim of promoting activism and participation in decision- making.
This conference will provide students with an overview of career opportunities in the public sector and in civil society organizations. The University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova remains open for such valuable collaborations for the benefit of the community and students in particular.
