As part of the activities of the project “Pharmacological Therapy, Physiotherapeutic Treatment, and the Benefits of Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation in Children with Infantile Cerebral Palsy,” funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) and the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation, within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Albania and Kosovo in the fields of education and science, staff from the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova visited the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel” on 3, 4, and 5 June 2024.

Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Boshnjaku, Prof. Ass. Dafinë Kaçuri, Prof. Dr. Haxhi Kamberi, and Ass. Zana Gërgi from the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova were welcomed by Prof. Assoc. Malvina Hoxha, the Scientific Coordinator of the project on the Albanian side, and PhD Emanuela Prendi, Coordinator of the Physiotherapy Study Programme.

Second- and third-year Physiotherapy students attended presentations on the following topics: “Physiotherapy as a Science, Profession, and Mission,” “Paediatrics in the Kosovar and Regional Context,” “Community-Based Rehabilitation: The Kosovo Perspective,” and “Rehabilitation in Infantile Cerebral Palsy.” The sessions were also attended online by other project members.

The professors from the “Fehmi Agani” University in Kosovo also visited the premises of the “Our Lady of Good Counsel” Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Centre, where they discussed hydrotherapy treatment for children with infantile cerebral palsy.
