Thanks to the UFAGJ financial support towards the academic staff in regards to the scientific publications, the impact factor publication 18.6 was achieved

Recently, in the wide range of scientific publications at worldly level was mentioned also the name Rilind Obertinca. Rilind Obertinca, Head of the Physiotherapy Program at the Faculty of Medicine has published his study in the renowned, prestigious, number one magazine in the field of sports medicine, ‘British Journal of Sports Medicine’, with impact factor 18.6 and Cite Score 25.1.

Ass. Obërtinca has led a wide research project upon the ‘Efficacy of a new program for the prevention of injuries in the new footballers’. Despite the novelties in the sphere of research, this study has shown promising results, by decreasing the incidence of injuries with a considerable amount of 31%. The study is one of the rarest ones, which, apart from the academic novelties, rises up the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’ in Gjakova in the direction of the best universities in the world.

In regards to this study, in the roles of assistants have also been included the students of the Physiotherapy Program Faruk Dragusha and Shpetim Ternava. Their representation in this study is an excellent example of the collaboration opportunities between the academic staff and the students for active participation in scientific research of a high level.

This success simultaneously mirrors the quality of the academic research projects that are offered in regards to the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova.
