Students of the Faculty of Education of the University "Fehmi Agani" Gjakova, in celebration of the International Day of People with Down Syndrome, visit HANDIKOS
Students of the Faculty of Education, Primary Program, at University “Fehmi Agani”, together with Prof. Ass. Dr. Venera Vala-Këndusi and Prof. Ass. Dr. Zamira Gashi-Shatri, visited the HANDIKOS center in Gjakova. The students carried out activities with the children at this center and distributed several gifts that had been prepared by the students themselves.
Through visits and support for children with Down syndrome, the Faculty of Education and its students also fulfill the faculty’s objectives by connecting theoretical learning with various practical activities, implementing inclusive principles, ensuring equal opportunities for students with special needs based on the principles of contemporary teaching, and promoting respect for human values.
We thank the staff of HANDIKOS for their cooperation and warm hospitality, and at the same time we promised that such activities and collaborations will continue in the future.
