Career Office participating in the training "Building the Capacities of Career Offices of Public Universities in Kosovo"
The Career Development Office of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, represented by Ms. Freskina Mula and the Coordinator for Practical Learning, Ms. Mentore Zejnullahu, participated in the intensive training “Capacity Building of Career Offices of Public Universities in Kosovo”, organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH, the German Information Centre for Migration, Vocational Training and Career (DIMAK), in partnership with the Hertie School.
The training was designed as a program running from 23 to 27 January 2023 in Prishtina, offering participants the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of best practices in university career development. Throughout the program, participants gained insights into the different stages of a student’s career development cycle, as well as how to design a career development strategy within a university context. This included understanding the target population, defining a mission statement, setting objectives, identifying measures to achieve those objectives, and evaluating outcomes.
The program provided an opportunity to improve the tools and skills of the Career Office in its role toward students, as well as to define approaches to the behind-the-scenes aspects of its work, such as building relationships with employers and conducting measurement and reporting within the university.
The final session offered an opportunity to reflect on lessons learned, provide constructive feedback, and plan the upcoming seminar in Berlin.
