Prof. assoc. dr. Kimete Canaj from the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, from the 10^th to 11^th of October 2021 participated in the Higher Education Summit 2021 (GHEC2021), organized by the Alhambra -U.S. Chamber.

The topics discussed at the summit provided a special focus on higher education institutions, their students and the role of higher education in regional and global development policy:

• Reimagining higher education after COVID-19;

• The future of aligning student interests, industry needs and university programs.

The internationalization of HEIs has become vital in the modern world, so the Higher Education Summit brought together many academics, professionals, HEI leaders to discuss how higher education can be developed and moved forward only through inter-institutional cooperation and collaboration. international.

This Summit was attended by more than 100 (one hundred) participants from prestigious world universities (Boston College, Stanford University, the Association of Arab Universities, the University of Texas, universities from the Middle East, Great Britain, etc.). The keynote speakers of the Summit were H.E. Amr Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities and Jamil Salmi, Expert in Global Tertiary Education, where they discussed the cooperation and internationalization of higher education, as well as the problems and future of higher education in the global aspect.
