Rector Nimani signs membership in the Magna Charta Universitatum

The Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, on Wednesday signed the membership in the Magna Charta Universitatum, which contains the principles of academic freedom and institutional autonomy as a guide for good governance and self-understanding of universities in the future.

The Steering Council of the Observatory congratulated the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova for accepting the signing of the Magna Charta Universitatum.

"Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova is determined to act in accordance with the Magna Charta Universitatum 1998, to support and advance the principles, values, responsibilities stated in the Magna Charta Universitatum 2020, to strengthen the role of universities in preserving the planet and promoting health, prosperity and fulfillment of conditions all over the world.

The Magna Charta Universitatum is a document originally signed by 388 rectors and heads of universities from all over Europe and beyond, on 18 September 1988 in Bologna.
