The project “Enhancing Research Culture in Higher Education in Kosova (ResearchCult)” is an Erasmus + project financed by European Commission. The project started in November 2019 and ends in November 2022.

The overall aim of the project is to support the enhancement of research culture in Kosovo higher education institutions by supporting the enhancement of existing policy and practices as well as establishing and installing new regulations and mechanisms in project beneficiary institutions in Kosovo, which is achieved through the following objectives:

• Assessing current state of research capacities in Kosovo higher education sector;
• Increasing research stimulation and support by establishing university offices/centers and their strategic plans to support constant research activities among their institutions;
• Enhancing university strategy for publication of scientific research work through developing and approving internationally recognized standards for scientific journals, as well as establishing inter-institutional scientific journals in the key research priorities in Kosovo;
• Promoting research work through annual research joint conference;
• Improving research quality and standards by developing research ethics and integrity regulation and establishing research ethics committees in higher education institutions;
• Facilitating regular access to research publication and establishing an online open-access platform/database for accumulating research knowledge;
• Increasing research publication opportunities through building capacities among researchers in preparing research articles as per international criteria and requirements for publication of research work;

Workshop work under ResearchCult project continues
 

At the University of “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, the workshop work under the ResearchCult project, which marked the second day, continues.

Participants in the workshop from the University of Fehmi Agani in Gjakova were rector, Prof. Ass. Dr. Artan Nimani, officials from the Office for Foreign Relations and academic staff, who attended the presentations:

• Presentation of practical research plans by Kosovo universities, moderate partners by Mr. Agron Iiše, IBCM;

• Presentation of the Research Plan - IBCM by Prof. Jelena Gjokic, IBCM;

• Presentation of the Research Plan - University of Pristina by Prof. Avni Hajdari, Office for Sponsored Research;

• Presentation of the Research Plan by the University of Haxhi Zeka by Prof.Asoc.Dr. Sabiha Shala;

University of Gjakova part of the workshop within ResearchCult

On October 6 and 7, staff members of the University of Gjakova are participating in the workshop "University Guidelines for Research Support Services and Strategic Research Plans", which is being held online as part of the project "Improving the research culture in high education of Kosovo ”. This workshop was organized by Sapienza University in Rome and IBCM as the project coordinator, with the support of the University of Zagreb and the University of National and World Economics from Bulgaria.

The activity of this workshop is the support of Kosovo universities to develop regulations for the establishment and functioning of university research offices.
