Dear Ollomani family,

 

With deep sorrow we learned the news of the death of the honored professor, Prof. Ass. Dr. Fitor Ollomani. Professor Ollomani has made an important contribution as a university professor, vice dean at the Faculty of Philology and as a diligent researcher in the field of linguistics.

Prof. Ass. Dr. Fitor Ollomani, was born in Kukës, Albania on June 19, 1985. In 2007 he completed his Bachelor studies at the University of Tirana, Faculty of History and Philology. In 2011 he completed his Master studies at the University of Tirana, Faculty of History and Philology. In 2015 he holds a PhD in Linguistics / Linguistic Research, University of Tirana, Faculty of History and Philology. In 2018 he was elected Assistant Professor at the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova at the Faculty of Philology. In 2020 he is elected Vice Dean at the Faculty of Philology. Professor Ollomani was also a member of the Science Council at the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova. During 2016, Ollomani was a professor at the University "Aleksandër Xhuvani", Faculty of Humanities, Department of Linguistics. During the years 2014 - 2015 he was an external lecturer at the University "Aleksandër Moisiu", Faculty of Education, Department of Albanian Language, Durrës.

 

Professor Fitor Ollomani on 08.05.2021 lost his life in a traffic accident. Fitor Ollomani was married to Ajeta Memishaj, and together they have a two-year-old daughter.

Professor Fitor Ollomani, for all those who knew him, presents a figure of a complete academic. He is distinguished by his students as an excellent guide and lecturer.

His death is a great loss for the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova and his works will be a guide for future generations.

 

Therefore, on behalf of the governing and management bodies, students, academic and administrative staff of UFAGJ, allow me to express my sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and students, for the loss of your loved one.
