Regional Youth Peace Laboratory 2021 - Opens the competition for applications
The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) is organizing the Regional Youth Peace Laboratory (RYPL) 2021 - a mentored process where teams and youth advocates compete to define and develop concrete, actionable policy solutions.
RYPL aims to position and engage young people as forward-thinking and innovative policy makers who can make significant contributions to peacebuilding initiatives in the Western Balkans region.
Competition format:
The competition will bring together 120 young lawyers from the Western Balkans 6 (WB6) to propose political solutions to pressing regional issues:
• Education - the quality and reform of education in the region to better respond to the challenges of the 21st century;
• Youth Mobility - mobility of young people in the region for study, travel, work and study;
• Peace and Inheritance of the Past - Inheritance inherited from post-conflict.
Awards & Recognition
Teams that are the authors of the 3 main policies for each of the 3 challenges will receive valuable prizes:
- Place First place - all team members receive Amazon Kindle + $ 150 gift card.
- Place Second place - all team members receive a $ 100 gift card.
- Place Third place - all team members receive a $ 50 gift card.
In addition, the best policies will be published in the WB6 Youth Policy Book and the Innovator Guide.

- Application opening date: 2nd of April
- Closing date of the application: 7th of April
