In the University of University "Fehmi Agani" was held the conference entitled "Active Aging in a Developing Society: Actors, Responsibilities and Challenges"

On Friday 13.09.2019, the International Conference “Active Ageing in a Developing Society: Stakeholders, Responsibilities and Challenges” was organized at the University of Gjakova “Fehmi Agani” as a project won by Ass Arben Boshnjaku MSc, financed by  HERAS (Higher Education Research and Applied Sciences).

The main aim of this conference was to promote the phenomenon of active ageing, while emphasizing the roles of the different stakeholders in the process of dealing with the older adults in a developing country like Kosovo.  

Representatives from different European universities dealing with the field of ageing participated in this conference, starting from the University of Vienna, Austria, University of Applied Sciences HANZE, Groningen, Netherlands, School of Medical Sciences Alcoitão, Lisboa, Portugal, “Mother Theresa” University of Skopje, North Macedonia, University of Applied Sciences Artevelde, Gent, Belgium. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Health, National Institute for Public Health, and Institute for Occupational Medicine etc. took part in the conference.

Findings from this conference will be collected in a special document that will be published by the Organizing Comity of the Conference.
