Public call for the admission of beneficiaries in the Program ‘’Complementary support for academic studies for students of the Roman, Ashkali and Egyptian communities’’ for the academic year 2024/2025.

 

1.PURPOSE
The purpose of this program is to ensure academic and non-academic support for the students of Ashkali, Roman and Egyptian communities, with the purpose of increasing their performance in the University education, improvement of attendance scale, performance, representation and the graduation of students from these communities. The program aims to contribute in the raising of the opportunities regarding the increase of the employed from these communities, in the promotion of equality and inclusion in education and the job market.

 

2.BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM

The program aims to offer support in different fields that would help students to develop personally and academically. The benefits may include instructions, direct support, opportunity for the development of skills and access to various sources that help students to face study challenges and to improve their performance.

This support may include, but is not limited to: tutoring, mentorship, learning between the peers (peer-to-peer), opportunity for practical work, career orientation and support with technological equipment ect.
The program will facilitate the achievement of the academic purposes, including completing the academic year successfully and the preparation for the professional future.

 

3.CRITERIA OF SELECTION

Criteria for the selection of candidates include the need for academic support, and the right to application goes only for students from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities who fulfill the following criteria:

 Bachelor level students (public and private)

 Student's success in the previous year;

 Female candidates have priority in the selection;

4. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION / CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION

• Proof from the Faculty with the info for the year of attending studies and grades’ certificate for the academic year 2023/2024;
• A self-declaration for the ethnicity;
• Copy of the Identity card;
• CV;
• A motivation letter related to the reasons of selecting the Faculty/program of study and student’s plans after the completion of studies;
