On 9 June 2023, the second international scientific conference titled “ISSUES OF LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND LITERARY TRANSLATION” was held at the Faculty of Philology of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova.

During the conference, three main topics in different fields of study were addressed:

Linguistics: The Albanian language – its challenges and future

Literature: Individual memory in Albanian literature

Literary Translation: Translation, interpretation, and language use

The conference was organized by the Faculty of Philology of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova in cooperation with the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, University of Tirana, University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”, University of Tetova, University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”, and the Academy of Albanological Studies.

The conference included participants from Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Albania. More than fifty presenters from the fields of language, literature, and literary translation delivered their papers, offering new perspectives and approaches in their respective disciplines.

The annual conference “ISSUES OF LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND LITERARY TRANSLATION” has now established a strong foundation of organization and cooperation with other universities, bringing together professors and researchers in the fields of language, literature, and literary translation. The conference represents an important scientific and cultural event at both national and regional levels.

More than 90% of the registered participants attended and presented at this international scientific meeting. The organization and implementation of the conference, both in scientific and technical aspects, were conducted at an appropriate level. Based on the number of participants, their presentations, the conclusions reached at the end of the conference, and the statements of the attendees, the conference was considered a successful achievement.

All planned technical arrangements were completed on time, including refreshments during breaks, lunches, the provision of accompanying conference materials (according to prior requests), and the printing of the Book of Abstracts.

On this occasion, gratitude was expressed to everyone who contributed in any way to the successful organization and completion of the conference.
